Swordfish Brazil and Swordfish Health (Australia), together in Sao Paulo!

I have always thought that hybrid working provided incredible opportunities to collaborate. These days, we have all become used to being just a click away from our global colleagues via online meeting and collaboration tools such as MS Teams, WhatsApp, and Slack.

While these tools have revolutionised the way we work, sometimes good old-fashioned physical meetings can enable us to connect in a more personal way. This is exactly what happened to me recently when I travelled to Sao Paulo and met the team members of Swordfish Brazil, which is the sister agency of Swordfish Health based in Australia, where I have been living for 5 years.

Originally, I am from Brazil, and I was visiting my family for the first time since before the global pandemic. I used this opportunity to work remotely and to pay my Brazilian counterparts based in the Sao Paulo office a visit. This meeting was a tremendous success and helped cement an already strong working relationship via in-person knowledge exchanges and the sharing of professional and personal experiences.

I found the experience elevating both personally and professionally. It was very interesting to understand the differences and similarities between the two countries when it comes to servicing clients. Being aware of these differences enables us to offer the same quality of service while respecting the different business cultures across the world, which puts Swordfish ahead of its competitors.

Swordfish Brazil Director of Business, Arthur Lange, noted the culture of celebrating the diverse experiences of Swordfish team members is the cornerstone of what makes the company such a unique place to work “Working across the Swordfish Group is a multicultural and inspirational experience. Being able to reach out to anyone that works at Swordfish at any time, one click away, is a possibility to share experiences and learn on a day-to-day basis. This helps us improve our client’s outcomes, differentiating Swordfish from any other health-group across the globe. How many steps do you have to take to be able to help someone from another country that works within the same group as you? At Swordfish, like we say, we are all only a slack-message away.“
